ZSIC General Insurance is a Zambian state-owned general insurercovering everything from motor and home cover to business, agricultural and cyber-crime liability — a lot of different products, and a lot of different people arriving with different needs.

The job was to give every line of cover its own understandable page, make a quotation easy to start, and let policyholders help themselves online — while keeping a national insurer’s corporate depth and its human call layer close by.

At a glance

How we approached it

01

Every product finds its audience

Car, home, business and agricultural insurance each have their own page with their own explanation and quotation path — so a driver, a homeowner and a farmer each land on exactly what applies to them.

02

Self-service that actually serves

An online self-service portal lets existing policyholders and prospects transact without a queue — quotations, renewals and service requests, with the call centre still one tap away for anyone who would rather talk to a person.

03

Corporate, but approachable

Alongside the product lines sit the parts a national insurer has to get right — management, board, careers, locations, tenders, downloads, FAQs and salvage listings — presented so a visitor can find them without wading through a menu of brown links.

What changed

A single public front door for a national general insurer, where every product line is comprehensible, self-service is first choice, and the organisation’s full corporate depth remains one click away for those who want it.
